More than 11,000 education and training providers across the world accept IELTS. If you are from non-English speaking country and wish to pursue a further study in abroad, IELTS is needed.

Academic IELTS 


The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is meant to evaluate the language competence of candidates who need to study or work in a country where English is the primary language of communication. IELTS is necessary for university admission in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and USA. 

What is the format of the IELTS Academic test?


The Academic Module of the IELTS is more difficult as compare to the General Module. The Listening and Speaking parts are the same for IELTS Academic and IELTS General, except Reading and Writing parts. 
 

The exam is divided into four parts: Reading - Listening - Writing - Speaking Sections.

How is the IELTS Test Scored ?

There is no pass or fail for the IELTS test. The display score between 1 and 9. For further studies purpose, the Universities/Colleges often demand a minimum IELTS score of 6.0 or 7.0 bands. 

Can Candidates re-take the test ? How is the IELTS Test Scored ?

 

Learners receive their results 2 weeks after they take the IELTS test. If they do not achieve their required score, they may take the test again as soon as they can book a place in a relevant centre.

How Long is the Test result Valid ?

Generally, the test result is valid for up to 2 years or not more than 2 years old.
